Default New wheels --> New tires question

hate to make a topic for something so simple but, i'm running 235/40 on my current 17x8s and looking to upgrade to different wheels but in 18x8s. offset on both are within 2mm (17's 46, 18's 44) of each other so rubbing wont be an issue.

so using the tire size calculator (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp), wouldn't it be better to go with a lower sidewall of 235/35 with the new 18" wheels, instead of 235/40 which work better for 17"? below is the comparison between the two.

OR would it be better to go with a little skinnier tire like 225/40? cause im not seeing much choice in tires for 235/35
