Default Painted my wheels

This is now my third car, and I have always wanted to paint my wheels black but never really made the time to do so. I finally took a day off from routine life and devoted it all to this project. Couldn't be any happier with the result.

(Please don't mind the terrible pictures)

Before -

After -

I actually used 4 coats of PlastiDip.

Next job is to clean up the brake calipers and rotors then I'm thinking about painting the calipers the color of my car. Suggestions??

If you're implying that there are a lot of people with that same setup, I don't give a damn. It's what I want and I guarantee you wouldn't find another one like it in my city.

Wow, was I wrong to think the people on these forums weren't going to be anything like the ones on bimmerforums. You can have 2 brownie points for being a stubborn *****.

And also there's a reason no one else has black rims on blue... It's never been done properly.

You're 24 years old, it's almost depressing to see that you feed off of insulting other people on an internet forum. Oh, next time you try to insult someone, don't use "and" and "also" back to back.

On the other hand, it's my fault though for expecting a different result.

Lol dont get your panties in a bunch, I give everyone a hard time. Ive been around a loooong time and personally I've never seen anyone pull blue and black off nicely. First off you NEED to drop that thing! Then it wouldn't look as bad. What plans do you have for it?

Well, my apologies then for not knowing your reputation. I've been lurking in the shadows since December but finally found exactly what I wanted for the right price.

I definitely plan on lowering it, picking up some shoes, and tinting the windows (once I get my residency in SC)

For now though, since money is short after the system I just got, I don't plan on doing anything at all until the winter. What would you suggest?

And my buttons are easily pushed on forums from what I'm used to back on the bimmerforums. Talk about some stubborn people... If you aren't willing to spend at least half of what you spent on the car, just for upgrades.. Then you have no chance of respect on that site.

What are your goals? I suggest you just keep it simple and clean. I always suggest getting coilovers (Tein s-techs are acceptable) a 5 axis lip kit would be nice, a nice retrofit for the headlights, if you must have a spoiler I'd suggest OEM or the kaminari flush mount. Now I'm very picky about wheels so personally if I owned a indigo ink pearl I'd go with a beautiful set of white Work XD-9 or polished rotiform nue's. Pretty much it. Only Power mods worth doing to a tc are boost or bust. Just my $.02

Definitely going with coilovers. I read a different thread somewhere on here where everyone was saying to go that route. I'm not familiar with the retrofit for the headlights. I'm totally new to the whole DIY concept. I just recently started changing my own oil lmao. I'm not going to get a spoiler though, I like the naked look.

Oh and honestly, I don't really have any goals right now. Just kinda going with the flow and if I see something I like then I'll start to research and invest.

We all started somewhere sir, look up Lightwerks and they'll answer all your retrofit needs. No spoiler is good too, you will definitely make or break your car depending on your wheel choice which personally I'd do either white, bronze, polished, or gold. Enjoy the car

just ignore the haters out there. black on blue looks nice. i wouldn't paint my calipers though, makes it look kinda cheap haha. i'd pick white or blue if i were to paint them. there are a lot of people that are willing to sacrifice quality just to save a buck or two. as long as you're happy with it, just eff everyone else.

Thanks for your input, maybe I won't paint the calipers. But, i'll think about it. Definitely have to at least clean them up though.
