but is it really necessary to down grade every single guy/girl who asks a question about rims that they like and think they might be buying?

they might not be as rich as you who can buy 5k worth of rims like nothing....i think they're justs being practical, and they just need something to make their car look better.....not SHOW car like yours but daily driven look....lol

no

i suggested staying away from drags because lets be honest, they look like poo. he said 1.5k was high but that is reasonable.... i don't think i downgraded this guy at all, i think you're just reading something thats not there

i was never considering paying that much for wheels. i dont make it, and i dont want to save forever. I live in louisiana though, not cali.
and honestly, why do you think they look so bad? because they are a "knock-off" of your (old?) rims?
they are almost exactly the same design, and ok, the conter cap is kinda eh, but other than that they look pretty close to me. Obviously they will not look as good close up and they dont have the same quality, but i want to know what makes those rims look like ____.

what makes those rims look like ____

- fake rivets - I HATE FAKE RIVETS
- dual bolt patterns - so ___
- they're made by DRAG

so lets get this straight... you think this wheel:

looks a lot like this wheel?

maybe you see the differences now

umm, yeah, i think they look very similar.
fake rivets-im talking looks here-cant really tell the diference in looks b/w fake and real, unless you REALLY look.
dual bolt pattern-ok, not as cool, but still, dosent look horrible
made by drag-umm, ok, not a very good point.

for the money i have, i think they look great. im not arguing that they look as good as those, im just saying they look good.

i think you just have a personal problem with them, since they are a much cheaper version(guess you might say knockoff) of your old rims.

fake rivets are the worst part of the wheel, besides the dual bolt pattern and the whole Drag wheel part.

there are a lot of better wheel choices out there besides cheap wheels like that, which would probably bend the first chance they get.

remember, you get what you paid for, theres a reason some wheels cost ~100$ and some ~500$ keep that in mind, along with the fact that wheels/tires are the most important part of the car... they keep you on the ground, why cheap out on that? your life is worth more then drags.

Im going for gold or bronze myself.bronze lucks great but its more subtle than gold. which is why im stumped.

i've had my eye on the tenzo dc-5 (bronze) but its starting to look boring compared to some gold wheels. like the kyowa's. (which by the way does anybody know the actually quality of those?)

again, how can you visually tell they are fake, without looking VERY close? and even then, i dont think you can tell.
dual bolt parrten-dosent bother me much. if it bothers you, then whatever, im not buying them for you.
and again, saying they are made by drag isnt really a reason as to why they look bad, except the cap.
im not trying to start a war, just curious.

because its a one piece wheel. rivets (they're actually bolts) only belong on multipiece wheels (to hold the wheel together).

you can tell, you're just dumb. DRAG WHEELS SUCK, they might as well be made out of butter

Nebster I can't believe you haven't killed anyone yet lol
When I first joined ScionLife, I was surprised at how many people were endorsing SportMax, Rota, and all those other cheap knockoff wheel companies.
I'm used to Honda-Tech where they will tear you apart for rocking knock offs lol

And to restate what someone else already said, the rims and tires are basically the only things connecting the car to the road...why settle for something cheap that may compromise your safety?
Drags are like Payless sneakers...looks like Nikes...would you wear them?

mmm.. as much as they might look similar online, the drags will surely not look like that in person.. also, drags have a tendency to chip and stuff a lot..

We all own a tc, not an nsx. It makes little sense to want to spend thousands of dollars on rims and tires for my tc imo. I dont endorse rocking knock off rims, but still, theres nothing wrong with wanting the cheaper, fake rims... for a cheap, slow car. But hey, if you can afford it then go for it if thats what you want. It is YOUR car...
