you bring up a good point. "Baller" status of a wheel (or any product) is determined by the price, brand image, and production quality of the item. the ssIX wheels fall in a gray area. companies in china, singapore, and malaysia produce forged wheels now, but that doesnt mean its the same as forged wheels from Rays Engineering or BBS. ssIX project is planning to come out with a 2nd wheel made by Rays. Ro_ja wheels bought the rights to certain Gram Lights wheels from Rays Engineering and are selling them as "Ro_ja by Rays" wheels. So theyre technically Gram Lights with a Ro_ja centercap. Some people wont buy that wheel because of the Ro_ja brand, while others will say its the same as a Gram Lights wheel and buy it. i guess its up to the individual.

if you got lots of money to invest, wheel manufacturers like YHI in Singapore will make wheels under whatever brand name you want. if you got even more money, then you can buy the rights/designs to certain wheels from high end manufacturers ("Ro_ja by Rays" for example).

Ro_ja R2-7 wheel, formerly known as the Gram Light 57S-Pro.

hawaii peeps always roll slammed. pic threads of hawaiian cars on honda, 240sx, and VW forums always have the most slammed cars around.

Psh, I should've taken a pic of when it happened to me. Mine was a giant rectangular cutout that was 12 inches and went straight down. Apparently someone had stolen the plate that was covering it. It completely CRACKED through my Tenzo R's....like you could see the concrete through the lip of the wheel when looking through the top. I was the 7th car that had to be towed that day from it.
