I agree with Dave; that is hard core, but did you even have connections or did you ask them directly? I'm sure if you knew someone (like High End in my case) that worked with them personally, you can get pretty much anything.

 

eh i went to them directly.... it wasn't that big of a deal and i didnt try that hard. I got a pretty good connection now since my buddy has been building his R34 for quite some time and enlisted their services a while back.

Back to the subject at hand, I really dont see them doing anything for a USDM car like the scion... the name scion doesn't even exist in Japan. That would practically destroy their credibility as top secret jpn

Playinw/fire, why didnt you just get BASF Top Secret Gold? (The closest you could get to the real thing) I've honestly thought about painting my car TS gold but I doubt TS would actually let me. But I wonder why the High End Supra isn't in the real Top Secret Gold, its painted in the BASF one. However, TS did make stuff for the last gen Vitz, cough*turbo*cough so itd work on the xA and xB! But yeah I think they'll only stick to Japanese cars for now and forever (its kinda better off that way). Would Top Secret Edition Volks be good for this thread?

 

As far as I know, the High End Supra IS painted with the Top Secret gold paint. Why would they work with Top Secret in building the car and not use their signature paint? BASF is just the team sponsor, so they put it on the car. There's probably something they used BASF paint for, but to my knowledge, it isn't the body paint.

 

i went with HOK mainly because of the name really. When building a show car it helps to have names that are synonymous with quality and HOK has had that association for a while.

 

ohh. Well see I was on BASF's site and in the gallery it has the Supra and it says painted in BASF Top Secret Gold. Not that it matters or anything but I just went with what it said.

 

Maybe BASF makes the gold paint for Top Secret? I'll ask Richard, the owner, what paint is really on it.
