Well I had new wheels/tires put on and I'm noticing two things while I drive. Wheels are 18x8 +35 offset, tires 225/40/18, and I'm dropped on Hotchkis springs.

1. After my wheel alignment I notice I'm pulling to the right still. Problem with the tire? or alignment?

2. I expected rubbing when I got my wheel/tire setup, but I notice that I rub A LOT more on my rear driver side tire. I know it's not a weight issue because I had my bro sit in the passenger seat and he weighs the same as me. It still only rubbed on that one tire. I'm thinking this might be a suspension issue?

Any ideas what could be going on?

 

how long have your springs been on, what brand of wheels / tires.

 

is it the 225 thats rubbing or just cause its lowered and the wheels....i have someone who wants to sell me wheels and tires that are 225 but i dont want them if its gonna rub in the back

 

no its not the setup, i think its his shocks are bad

 

i guess ill check em out you think they will rub in the front

 

what are the widths and offsets?

 

doesn't hotchkis sag lower in the rear?

Yeah 18x8 +35 offset. I would think that I would rub evenly when i go over speed bumps and such but i rub a lot more just on one wheel.

 

i thinik one of your shocks is out.

 

either that or its the springs, generally shocks dont change ride height but they effect the travel of the springs, the springs might be sagging. how long have you had them?

 

springs have been on since Feb. 08. i have about 15k miles on them.

 

how many miles are on the car?

 

car has ~19k

my next question woulda been what kinda roads do you drive on, but how much do you weigh works.

19s isnt a lot to have blown shocks. but then again it might not be blown shocks...

but then again its only 1 corner.

i would check to see if the spring broke...

 

its the rear passenger wheel not the drivers side front...
