Hey guys, somehow my right two tires and my front right rim (stock) needs to be replaced due to tear and bending of the rim. I was going to get the tires from discount tire and get the stock rim off ebay because the dealer is asking for 400 just for the rim. I know everyone is going to say to upgrade to custom rims, but I really don't want to.

My question is, you guys think that discount tire would be okay to buy from?

that's the link to the stock alloy from ebay. It looks like the guy has good feedback and everything and I just wanted to make sure this isn't a fake or something. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

 

For $25 more you can get one from a reputable vendor. (trdsparks.com)

Holy crap, you know what happened....I asked Ken about the stock alloys if they had any....and one of his associates responded that they didn't have it. I totally just forgot about the tires from there. Thanks for the heads up.

 

Discount Tire is okay to buy from... and on the rim, you can find them on the classifieds here in this site or even craigslist in your area.

 

oh, so u guys don't recommend the rim from the ebay seller? I emailed trdsparks and Jamie answered and told me to buy the tire from tirerack.com so I will probably do that.

 

dont get stock tires btw, there are a bunch of better ones then the factory tires.

DTD is awesome! for stock wheels idk, but there are some nice affordable wheels talk to DTD they might be able to work a good deal with you on some. they are a sponsor here to so call them up and tell tehm you are a member of scionlife and see if they can work somethin out with you. i got 3 sets of tires and a set of wheels from them and tehy are awesome!

lol DTD is Discount tire Direct, Leoedgeracing is Edge racing. 2 different companies.

 

my goodness, i read that thread and it totally looked like DTD was referring to Edge racing. Shiet i feel like a tool. Thanks for all the help man.
