Default Recommendations on tires?

Hey guys i'm considering buying these rims and i was wondering if anyone knew what a good brand of tire would be to wrap these bad boys up in...i'm lookin to spend anywhere from $200-$300 something low profile probably 225/35 or 40 /18 depending on what width will fit etc i don't like the stock ride too much with the low pro's because it rides rough like a truck but what are you gonna do eh? i'm looking for something that won't wear as easily like the stockies with good grip because i'm tired of accidently spinning my tires in a drop of rain any help will greatly appreciated or if someone knows anyone who is selling rims with or w/o tire please let me know thank you. Either gonna go with the ff7's or the dp6's

i have pirelli pzero nero m+s now, much improvement over stock, but you still gotta keep on top of wheel spin in the rain.

i have these goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3 and i love driving in the rain now cause these sons of b!tches are sticky and grab every inch of the contacted pavement... rain, no sweat... i love these over the pirelli's and the nitto's i had both and they were good but they cant hold a candle to these goodyears... and the tread pattern is awesome

but so "effing" worth it!!!when/if i mod my car (see the link in my sig for that conversation) and i put rims on i will definately be a repeat buyer the first day i got these it was pouring here and i pulled outta disc. tire... it felt like they were sticky so i floored it and no "peeling" they grabbed and i took off... and at each light i kept thinking well its cause they are new and not broken in (and if you drive a manual -> that power bump from 1st to 2nd)... well i slammed into 1st then 2nd and they kept on pulling it was freaking awesome!!! and i am normally a great driver so for me to be "playing" in the rain is not normal

3 or 4 months and they still look brand new man i dont notice any wear in the treads at all and i am not a harsh driver but i like to "play" every now and then and these are daily driven at least 20 miles a day

not that, they should have a treadlife rating somewhere in the "tireglyphics" which explain the expected mileage life of the tire.

nvm, a 280 treadlife is pretty good, but that is a summer tire, so i'm sure it is great for you in the year round warm weather of texas, but us up in the northern states need all-season rubbers. that is probably why most of us spin our tires so easily, we are crippled by all-season tires.

ahhh a very good point indeed sir... that i didnt think of... yeah we do have pretty much year round warmth it gets cool here but nothing compared to you in md... so yeah i will change my view and say for those in the north these are great summer tires

thanks guys but i still need a reasonable pirce here and if i do get them there only going to be for summer because i'll have stockies on for fall and spring and for deep winter i got a set of steelies lined up with some ok all seasons thinner tire so better to get through snow and stuff but the tires need to be of reasonable wear life because i drive a guaranteed 40 mile a day going to school and then coming home (20 miles each way)
