i know that if something punctures your sidewall, you have to replace the tire, but is this still considered the sidewall? i just got these rims with the tires a few weeks ago and i hate that its already giving me problems

What are we looking at? Is that thing something that punctured the tire?

I would say a "no" on the repairing and go with a new tire. Typically you'd only patch or plug on the flat tread surface.

time for a new tire. what is that? thats very unsafe to repair. get it done as soon as possible. don't use fix a flat it will destroy your rim and make the tire heavy and unbalanced.

Rule of thumb. The outside blocks of thread are not repairable. That is surely not repairable, but their just stock tires anyway so you're do for an upgrade.

 

It doesn't look like there's much tread left on that tire. I'd consider replacing all four if you've got a puncture in one and they all look like that.

This is in the wheel and tire section, so I'm going to assume it's the little pale pink thing on the tire. In that portion of the tire, it's not repairable. Sure, it's in the tread, but it's on the corner tread, which is a no.

thanks guys for all the input but yeah its the little staple looking thing that punctured my tire. i dont know wtf it is and where it came from. since i still have tires on my stock rims and theyre the same exact size, does anyone know how much it might cost me just to switch the tires around?

 

pudgy1 how deep is that into your tire? any idea? im just curious

 

Switch the tires around as in rotate them, or switch them around as in mount new tires?
