I should have filmed the shop that stretched tires for me, they had twin brothers with cheetahs, and they would blast them at the same time to set the beed...it was amazing the first time I saw them do it haha.

 

Guys I need some help! I just purchased some tires Falken Zeix 502 by 205/40 attempting to mount on 17x8.5 offset 20. The mounting wasnt a problem but the outcome of the look of the wheel was kinda of disappointing, there was a decent stretch but once wheel was mounted on my car, I now have a noticeable wheel gap almost 2 finger in the rear and 1 in the front. I am sitting on stechs. The tire looks so thin like low pro thin :*( any advice guys. I plan on purchasing new tires this week any sizing tips? I would like to get best look stretch and gap fill. Any advice would help thanks in advance.

 

Get 18s or get coilovers

 

The more stretch you have, the more gap and clearance you'll have. You dont need that stretch on S-techs. So you'll either need to go lower, or proper sized tires.

Yes it works, there's plenty of vids showing this technique to do tire stretch. An alternative from risking setting yourself on fire or the using a bead blaster.

 

Wonder if I could just mount my own tires then?

Ya, i have seen that one. But this tube idea... That has me thinking lol. Is that you would have to do in order to mount a freaking tire? Then get it balanced? if so, im in.
