heres the car now; i don't really have a good one of the back. Any feedback welcome These are 18x8.5 on 215 35 18s.

what offset are you at now? et30 on an 8.5 seems dead flush in the rear. So et10 will def have some poke. I need more pics of 8.5's as well. trying to pick out apapters soon.

Super slow progress, just put on tires on two of them, 205/40 on 17x8 +20 BMW Style 5(BBS RC035). The wheels still need to be refinished, the faces are decent, might plasti-dip the lip though or maybe the whole wheel black and run them as-is until I get some funds for refinishing.

The tires on those two wheels are Capitol Sport UHP 205/40 17, absolutely no hint of stretch at all compared to the Falken 512 I had put on on the other 2 after these pics were taken. I'll try to get a pic of the two side by side. So Falken 512 if you want even the slightest of stretch of a 205/40 on a 8" wide wheel.

Pmd you quite some time ago. Never got a reply.

^Perfect fitment.

Question for you guys. I'll be getting tires tomorrow or during the weekend.
In the back i will be running 18x9.5 et 16 (after adapters)

What tires should i be running? I'm REALLY leaning towards 225/40 just want to make sure i don't rub too much.

Don't really want a HUGE stretch.

In the front i will be 18x8.5 et 16. Leaning towards 215/40/18 or 215/35/18

Any input guys? I've done A LOT of research, seen every page in this thread, been on tyrestretch.com. Frankly, i just need a little more push to make my decision.

et16??? you will need 215, fender rolling and cut stuff behind it and 4 degree camber!!!
Im on 18x9.5 et 28 and had to roll fender and cut some metal parts off in the back and 2.5 degree camber on 225/40 wheels and still rub sometimes on 1 side. i gues i have to trim it more.

Just to match the strecth i would go with 205 on the 8.5

hmmm... i'm going that direction too with my new set up 18x9.5 with 225/40. The problem that I also came up with is it clears but how are the tires underneath the fenders? I don't want to grind anymore than I should, but I don't want to stretch that much either. I'm also considering pulling 235/35s but per wheel is more than my budget will allow... such a drag

I say rear 215/40 with -4 to -5 camber and front 205/40, all this with rolled fenders ofcourse.

Yea, just drilled actually, let them know I wanted it centered between the factory pattern. The only negative is that the seat wasn't set deep enough to run OEM wheel studs, I could only get 4 turns on the lug nut. So that'll be one detail that'll have to be noted for any future wheel drilling, then again this was a machine shop someone referenced to me and don't know how many wheels they may have worked on. I just went all out and got ARP extended wheel studs, I plan on running wheel spacers anyways, just need to get a minimum spacer size so the center cap can be put on, going cap-less on a dual pattern isn't exactly a good look.

I will, the wheel gap is like Grand Canyon size with the 17s in the pics, I have none currently on the 18s. Nice seeing the SBC RPF-1s back on your ride.
