Default Right Rear Tire slowly deflating.

A few days ago my right rear tire started to deflate. the TPS light went off so I checked my tires and they were all lower then normal. My right rear was lower then the rest. I didn't think much of it but my TPS light went off today again so I check all the tires and all of them are fine except for that right rear tire. at first I thought it might have been some pot holes that I hit earlier in the week but it was actually the other side of the car that Hit those pot holes not the side that's leaking air. It's a slow leak too so I don't think I have a nail. the rim doesn't appear to be bent and since its the right side I couldn't have pinched the tire between the rim and the curb. This one really has my confused as to why it would be leaking air. Any ideas? I'm goin to get it checked out tomorrow morning but its really got me scratching my head.

Probably a nail between the tread where you can not see it.

yeah, just take it to a tire place and see what they find, patching a tire is only like 50 bucks.

People shouldnt panic him with stories of cracked rims. Tires leak slow all the time. Nail, something smaller, etc could have done it, could be a bad valve stem, etc. Just take it to a tire shop, that is why they are there.

I went to the tire shop today but they were swamped so I'm gona bring it in on Sunday. The rim looks fine, no bend no cracks no nothing. Since I got the rims I take major precations going by curbs and stuff. Havn't curbed my rims yet. Shouldn't be anything major. Only thing is that the air is going down very very slowly so i don't think its a nail or something of that sort.

I have seen a nail in a tire hold air for a month. I have temporarily patched a hole in a tire with a wood screw as well in an emergency. Anything can create a small leak if it is still in the tire.

I found it. It was a nail I pulled my car out on the block. put it in neutral and pushed it down the block while looking at the tire. Black nail in between the treads of the tire. Gona get it taken care of tomorrow morning.

I went to Castco today to try and fix it but they said they couldn't do it because i have Low Pro tires. is that true or were they just bsing because they were closing in a half an hour?

costco, probably not the best place to get a tire repaired. and yes it's a lie about low profile tires. any tire can be patched. yes they didn't want to deal with you so they lied, not a place i'd want to go back to.

if the puncture is in the tread, you're good to have it repaired. If the nail was in the sidewall though, those can't be fixed. also, if the nail is in the tread, but by the sidewall, those also can't be fixed.

but it sounds like yours is right in the middle of the tread, so yup you can get it patched.

Yup i figured they were bsing. My dad gets all his stuff at Castco and it was along the way so that's why I went there. I'm going to Sears Tire tomorrow morning to get it patched. And yea It's almost dead center of the Tread.

As long as the hole is not on the sidewall you have no problems.....even with z rated tires....a plug is a plug....I work at Sears and they should not give you any problems with the repair...........we want your business......

Paid 24 bucks to get it patched. Guy doing it was stupid. Same guy that put on my rims, When I got my rims he got into a big hissy fit because my car had TPS Sensors and didn't want to do it. I told him that we Called Falken, talked to the managers, did everything to make sure that they fit and he wasn't about to stop me from getting the rims on MY tires on my car. Well fine he did the rims, This time he was getting into a big hissy fit that the Tires on my car arn't from sears. I'm like bro. Does it make a difference? I got my rims put on by YOU 4 months ago and now you're going to patch the tire that You Yourself put on those 4 months ago. idk what his problem is. Every time I go there he always complains about something and says he won't do it. Last time I went to Sears tire to get my stuff done.
