Anyone know how big of rims and tires you can go with when u have the tein s tech springs on. I'm looking into rims and but i dont want to go to big that it rubs. thanks for any help.

 

This is just my opinon, but i would say 19"

 

yea i think 19" would b perfect cuz my friend has the same setup and no problem with him

 

My understanding is that to a point rim diameter is irrelevant as the tires are the same size they just get lower and lower profile. (that point is probably 20" which IMHO look silly on a TC anyway)

If the actual tires got bigger and smaller based on the rim no ones speedo would read properly.

More importantly you should be asking how WIDE you can go without it rubbing.

Most importantly how wide before the front outside when you are turning a corner and hit a popthole.

That's when you start shaving. Tire or body work, neither are good.

Personally, I'm still curious to find out is 17" by 9.5 is very possible on a stock setup. if so I'm getting them in the new year.

 

get some 16" celica gts rims they will look nice

 

I'd heard there were issues with 16" and brake disk clearance?

edit: and from my quick google they seem to only be 6.5" wide. I wanted to get wide tires for the added 'stick'.

16's fits the 15 off my buddys cavi fit we have tiney breaks no reason for big rims all they do is slow you down and kill wheel bearings well they look nice to lol
