Would a 235/40/17 work on these was gonna go with 255s but a local tire shop recommended i'd go with the 235s he said a 235 tire is good up to a 9.5 in wheel. These guys are probably the best tire guys in the area ALOT of the local autox and road race guys use this shop and they have their own race program so they are not your average mechants,NTB "tire shop". They literally have people waiting up to an hour and half on saturdays before they open because they are first come first serve just to give you an idea of the kind of shop they are. Anyway I called Tire Rack just to get a 2nd opinion I didn't mention what the other shop had said just gave them my wheel size and make and model of my car and he also said the same thing 235 would be the best size. I asked if it would be stretched at all and he said no its good up to 9.5. Sorry for the long post just trying to get your guys opinion on what I was told...
