Default snow tires setup

hey everyone, so i put on my snow rims and tires, and it feels like im driving with jello for tires. the car is all over the place

i have 205 65 15's on steel rims.

is that too tall of a tire perhaps?? you can move the car side to side by pushing on it like its a water bed, i dont like it!

what tire size should have i gotten??

That size is about right. If you normally drive on 17's or 18's you will notice a difference with the step down. Check the tire pressure, make sure you have enough in them, you probably do you are noticing the opposite effect of people who upsize and don't like the ride. Also remember that winter tires are usually made with a softer compound of rubber that stays soft under cold temperatures so if it's warm out you are probably noticing some of that too. Another size you could run would be a 195.65.15, its a hair shorter but narrower also. When you go back to the larger size in the spring you'll feel the difference again. They'll be more responsive like you like but they'll ride a lot rougher too.
