Stance rookie looking for help!

Hey guys I've had my 06 scion for about a year now and after spending countless hours on the aggressive fitment thread I've decided it's my turn to do the same but I'm in need of some serious help because I'm a noob in the car game.

As of right now my car is completely stock but I'm very very interested in running a set up I found online that a guy is running.

His set up is:
xxr 531s 17x10 with a 215/40
raceland coilovers
rolled fenders

Will I need to do anything else to run this set up?
Any clearance issues? (I know I'm going to rub)
Will I need camber bolts?
I have cash in hand and I'm ready to make some purchases.
PLEASE HELP!

You will need front camber with those xxr's regardless of offset (because you didn't mention it) The rears, if rolled, might settle in just barely if the offset it right, otherwise, you will need to camber the back as well. Other than that you know what you need to do and how to get it, so let us know how it goes and your progress with the whole thing or if you have more questions.

Thanks man, I'm super pumped. Ordered my coils and wheels last night. Going to get tires and look into what I need as far as camber bolts and any other miscellaneous stuff tonight. Once I get everything lined up I'll start a build thread.

Hell yeah man. You must have dropped couple K's last night. Hahahaha. Good for you dude. Can't wait to see it.

Needless to say my bank account is a bit smaller compared to when I woke up yesterday morning hahaha. Overall it's a pretty cheap cosmetic build unless I start popping the hood for new ideas. :icon_biggrin:

Would your ideas under your hood look something like this?

You'll want to your fenders rolled in the front and rolled/pulled in the rear.
I went with federal tires for mine and went with 215/40 I'd go with a 215/35 if I were you especially if you want to dump it. I used to the stock camber in the rear and camber bolts in the front but I personally wish I had more camber in the rear.

Hope this helps!

When going for the stanced look, are coilovers a must?

tc913 05-27-2014 07:16 AM

yes or you will look like a silly rabbit
