has anyone thought about putting stock sti rims on a tC? I found a good deal on some but I was wondering if its a good idea.

 

The newer STi use a 5x114 bolt patterns that wont work on the 5x100 hubs on the tC. Check that first

 

ya im pretty sure that the 04 sti had the 5x100 bolt pattern

 

Wheel Terminology: Bolt Pattern or Bolt Circle
The bolt pattern or bolt circle is the diameter of an imaginary circle formed by the centers of the wheel lugs. Most late model Subarus use a bolt pattern of 5 on 100mm (3.93"). This indicates a 5 lug pattern on a 100mm circle.

*Exception: for 2005 STI models have been changed to a 5 on 114mm pattern.

It will work if the wheels came from a 04 or older

 

subaru offsets are too high to look good on a tC. The wheels will look sunken in too much. The stock tC offset is 45, while most subaru offsets range from 45-55.
