So i was thinking the other day that my 18s are coming off and my stock 17s are going back on for the autocross season. they will be rolling on Dunlop sp sports in a 215/50/17 with the ksport kontrol coilovers and full poly urethane bushing set. well I need some honest opinions about getting my wheels painted. they are sitting at the powdercoaters shop and im just deciding on what color or colors i want to paint them. what i was thincking bout right now, would be to paint two blue like the car and two black. and have one side full blue on the other black. the car is coming out of the paint shop soon with kind of a two tone. nautical blue on top and black on the bottom. the car also has a seibon hood and carbon creations cf fenders. do you thinck the car will look good with the stock wheels painted blue and black ?

 

Different color wheels I think will probably just get you laughed at. I understand the two tone paint and all, but it doesn't work with wheels. You might be able to get away with all blue if it matches the blue on top... that might not look too bad. If you're set on painting (or pc'ing) them anyways.

 

Possibly black with a blue lip?

Not at all! Especially if he's two toned blue and black, it would match pretty nice I think.

 

the only way you could get by having 2 blue and 2 black is to have a two tone paintjob that split the car. ive seen a prelude that was pink on the front and black on the back and it was split in a diagonal. it was weird. or if you split the car straight down the middle. both of those are pretty stupid ideas though. you just need to get all the wheels done the same way.

 

yea i am gonna get them all painted blue. im getting them powdercoated would i just have to paint the lip on after i get them powdercoated ?

 

i say just get them blue to go with the bottom of the car
