this sucks
so i was checking the tire pressure in all of my tires. i got to remove the valve cap, the front to where easy but the back 2 would not come off, so i used pliers to take them off. Then i hear a snap and this happened on both and the valve stem flies out and i am leaking air on both like no other, im like of maybe the valve stems just got loose and i could put them back in but after further examination i noticed that the treads inside where that valve cap locks in where half broken and stuck inside the original valve cap with corrosion, so i called discount tires to see how much they can replace it for and they gave me a quote of $300 because of the tire pressure sensor inside and they would have to replace that too, so im like crap but then i wondered if my warrenty on the car can cover this, any idea from u guys on wat i can do, im gonna call them and see but any suggestions would really help.
You can try to get your dealership to cover those under warranty, but it is highly unlikely they will (you forced 'em and broke 'em). Sorry!
The price from Discount Tire seems about right.
