Default super HOT DEAL on some FORGED wheels!

So i just bought a set of these Sektor wheels. 18x8 with +45 offset in 5x114.3 but they also fit 5x100. I bought them for my TSX.. but they also fit the TC. They're forged, and weigh 18 lbs. I have NOTHING in common with this ebay seller.. just thought i'd spread the word on a super hot deal for some forged wheels. $799 with free shipping if you do Buy It Now.

he says he has about 30 sets. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=130451932524

they look like this: Sektor SF601

and i miss my TC!!

Have you received the wheels yet? Sounds a little too good to be true but its a hell of a deal if it is.

^^ looking at that, I'd say you have a valid point there. But also personally buying and selling on sites like eBay for years... sometimes a deal like this does come along that is legit. w/o reading the link provided by the OP... the mention of the seller having a lot of full sets of these in inventory would lead me to believe that it could be legit. If a seller has access to a lot of inventory, they can sell more sets at a lower price and still make a profit.
Instead of being greedy and try to make every cent they can off of each set and possibly not being able to move a large amount of inventory, because they'll have fewer customers/buyers that are willing/able to fork out larger amount of cash...they drop the price, and do it the way they have it listed here. That's a basic tip of Business 101.... inventory that is just sitting in their warehouse takes away from their bottom line until it's sold.

Definitely post up some pics once you get them. I'm sure more than just me want to see how they look and if the deal goes through w/o any hassles.

just because they're forged doesnt mean anything. they could be made in china from cheap forged steel instead of forged aluminum or magnesium (e.g. SSR and Volk Racing). who knows if they're really forged. alot of cheap wheels from china come with JWL and JIA approval stampings when they really arent approved by those associations.

i think spending that money towards quality lightweight cast wheels (e.g. Enkei) is a better investment.

Aren't their different methods of forging as well just like with casting you have pressure and gravity cast?

Personally I don't understand the whole "ZOMG looked at my forged wheels!" thing..I like volks and advans because of the design..nothing to do with the construction for the most part.

A lot of forged wheels also looked so flat faced and blah to me..so..meh..

the idea behind forging is that it's stronger.. so you can use less material.. thereby keeping it lighter.

I know what forging is I just don't understand the boner people tend to get for wheels just because they are forged.

Maybe I'm just weird
