tC with 50mm offset?
Ok, i know this is probably somewhere on the forum but i've tried to search and well meh. I was lookin at the 18x8.5 G-games 77f's with a 50mm offset. Basically, can the tC run a 50mm offset? I have a TRD drop and do not want any rubbing or strain or w/e, just some nice rims that run nicely. SOOO, am i gonna have problems with this size?
uh... I don't think that would be the best idea. Try some 18x7-7.5 w/ 45 or smaller offset? Not really too sure but yea... I think that would definately rub though, sounds like they're built for a totally different car.
no it wouldnt be. the stock wheels are only 7 inches wide. the wheels he wants are 8.5 inches wide.
going from a 7" wide w/ 45mm offset to a 8.5" wide w/ 50 offset would give you 24mm less clearance on the inside and it would extend an additional 14mm on the outside. im not sure if it will clear on the inside, but it will sit flush on the outside.

Measure from the backside of a spoke to the caliper. Also, be sure to measure your rim to suspension clearance (you'll have to get creative), there should be enough room, but you'll need to calculate that as well.
ok, i measured from the spoke to the furthest part of the caliper sticking out, and it was 1.5 inches. a lil more than 2 if i measure from the spoke to the main part of the caliper. Also, i measured from my spring to where the wheel starts, and it looked liek 3 inches?
You're doing great. Next you need to click here --> http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp and input the proper wheel specs. The factory wheels are 7" wide and have a 35mm offset. It will tell you how much your wheels will push out in the wheel well and how much inner clearance you will lose. If the wheel clearance is less than what you've measured, you will need spacers.
