lol honestly theres not really a way to "mess up" just do light coats and if you get runs just let dry, sand, clean and repeat, thats probably the only mistake that would happen

the color i want is like a bronzish-goldiish look...so basically a dark shade of gold =]

 

check out the duplicolor bronze paint, thats what i have mine and i think its perfect cause the shade you just described is the shade i wanted and bronze is by far my fav now

use notecards to block overspray on the tires, i sanded after every coat with i think 400g sandpaper, and give em decent drying time for each coat, and to give it a semigloss look i layered it with duplicolor clear twice and then waxed my wheels.
i think thats about it, other people didnt it differently but thats how i did mine

then u let it dry.
then sanded it again.
dumb question, but how many coats of paint before clear?

 

yeah, i think i did about 3-4 but the last two were light coats and for spots i missed
