you might want to re-calibrate the wheels again

and no your fine. if you checked the pressure in all the tires and they are fine. then open your glove box, and hit the reset button for your TPS and your good to go

Once you reset the TPS.. If it comes on again, then balance those bad boys!

the TPS = Tire Pressure Sensor. It runs by a wire that detects the speed (rotation) of the tire. If you have less pressure in one tire, compared to the others, the light will trip because the system is detecting one wheel moving at a different speed then all the others.

it can also trip if the that sensor wire has been damaged.

so if yours keeps tripping murr, and all your tires have the same pressure in them (i like to run 32 or 35), you have a problem with your system, and a wire was probably damaged.

what year tC do you have? if it's an '07, the TPMS are built into your valve stems. consequently, if you have aftermarket wheels, your TPMS light will ALWAYS be on unless you transferred the valve stems to your new rims. if you have and '05 or '06, the TPMS reads off of ABS. if you're still on stock wheels, try pressing the reset button inside the glove box and if it still doesn't work, even after the tires are at the recommened PSI, i'd say call the dealer and have them look at it.

rgeezyinTC... your 100% wrong. if you know nothing about the system... why reply with false information?

and murr i figured. all the dealer is going to do is clean the track and re-lubricate it. but its free for them to do it under warranty, so i agree with you gong back to them and making them do it. haha

very good point. i forgot to ask if it was an 07. but i believe he has factory wheels.

there is a way to trick the TPMS with newer cars that have aftermarket wheels that dont have enough room for the TPMS though. It wont be a working system, but it will turn the light off. if you put all the sensors in your spare tire, all the sensors will read the same tire pressue, so your light will go off. but like i said, it wont be a working system.

ahh now there's a good idea. unfortunately that would have cost me an extra 80-100 dollars to get my old tires dismounted from my stock wheels, so i passed it up. maybe i'll just take apart the gauge cluster and kill that specific LED
