Default tires rubbing hard

hello, my rear tires are rubbing hard where the rear bumper meets the fender. i noticed my tire actually rests on the bolt that holds the bumper. also it rubs on the tabs. i would say on a level surface, there is a 1-2mm gap between my tires at the bumper/fender tab...does anyone have a picture of what it looks like after shaving the tab off? how do you attach the bumper afterwards? or if anyone running an aggressive setup knows any other tricks, please let me know i would love to solve this problem...even -3 camber is not doing it for me... thanks!

ps: running 215/40/18 on some 18x9's... dont think that should be the problem as ive read others have done it...just need to know the secrets of how to get my car driveable again.... -___-

uhh I'm pretty sure -3 degrees would do it, since you don't even have that aggressive of a setup...this is what I did to my tabs.

^ I'm not so sure that camber is all that helpful where the bumper meets the quarter panel. He said he's running -3 camber and he's still rubbing. I'm sure he's telling the truth... Even when I was on the 17x8 +35 Enkeis I rubbed on that part of the bumper a lot.

I'm in for the info. If anyone has helpful info or pics as to where you secure the bumper once the tab is removed, I'd love to see it.

So we can just shave the bumper plastic and roll the fender part back more? Sounds good if we don't really need that bolt thanks guys

I have the same problem right now

fenders are rolled but tires still reaching the rear bumper.
I had to take the bolts off but still... even on the smallest roadhump it rubs like craaaazy!!!

anyone could post up a pic how did they modify their bumper? Iam thinking to jump on it with a dremel and just cut of some part but i dont want to ruin the bumper and the stuff behind it.

I'm doing this kind of work today. I'll post pics. I plan on just bending tabs and cutting stuff away with a dremel.

cut the metal back as much as possible.... if u use dremel get the EZ lock tool and the metal disks!
when you zip ti it and u make a hole for the zip tie make sure you trim a deeper groove for the zip tie so it will be flush with the metal so the tire wont reach the ziptie. i hope it makes sense what i just said...

i used my eastwood roller to roll the metal part back as far as i could, then i also trimmed down the plastics with the sanding bit and the cutting disk with my dremel...

CSOCSO, did you drill a hole in the metal tab you cut to be able to put the zip tie through?

I didnt cut the metal at all, I used the Eastwood roller to bend the sh*t out of it all haha

thats an in-progress pic, things cleaned up a lot nicer when I finished. I still need to add a zip tie on each side to get the bumper to fit perfect again so I'll snap some pics when I do that

I didnt get a pic of the zip tie in place... but I drew on the pic I posted above to show what i did:

I drilled a hole in the metal where the green dot is. And the blue line is a slit in the bumper that clipped into the stock mounting points. Just ran a zip tie through those two points and it worked out pretty well:
