Default Toyo proxes 4

Hi guys
do anyone here on sl got those tires.
I bought a set t oday and let me tell you that those are so soft.... i've been driving on my protenzas till today and when i come out the tire shop i thought that something is wrong . I checked endlinks ( dezod ) and sway bar cause the body roll after installing those is killing me ( when i comper it to protenzas )
Do any of you guys have the same feeling

Yeah they are a big change from the Potenzas........as time goes on you will get used to them.........make sure to rotate them every 5000miles though or they will wear out prematurely........

I had the same problem when I went from my Potenzas to my NeoGens.........car felt like there was a problem........it was just the tires gripping the road better........they will sound differant too in corners......

also these tires need about 300-400 miles to break-in, then they won't seem so squishy. Nothing wrong, just the chemicals from the factory molds burning off.

actually if you have the Proxes4 tires, you'll have to rotate them at 3500miles if not before. Toyo requires them being rotated at that mileage to maintain warranty coverage. Excessive wear can happen if you don't rotate them that often.

I had the Proxes 4 on my last car and will probably get a set for my tC when it is time for tires. They are a great tire when broken in. Best compromise between performance and treadwear of any tire I have used.

Just out of curiosity - are any of you running the stock tire specs with these tires? I was thinking about getting these with my next oil change since my tires are getting pretty low anyway and was wondering if these would be worth it for a daily driver? I dont' really drive the car that hard but I want something htats comfortable. quiet but with decent grip.

Just curious if these are worth the price even if I don't drive my car all that hard if any of you have other reccomendations? Sorry to thread jack but I thought I would post this here instead of starting a new thread...

yes a lot of us are running the stock size of 215/45-17. Yes you'll love them for your daily driver, quiet, comfortable, and great grip! I think they're worth the money as many of us do too!

The tires can be driven hard or daily driven, good either way!

I just had them installed yesterday with the 18" TRDs and let me say that they rule! I wanted to get the T1Rs but they're a "little" expensive.
