TPMS Issue
Hey folks. Been having a problem with my TPMS light.
I have an '05 tC, so I know there are no sensors involved. I know about the soft reset, the hard reset/initializing the system, and have done both successfully in the past.
My current issue is, the TPMS will no longer re-initialize. This started about 4 months ago when the dash light came on, indicating that the pressures were off. I did soft resets until I had the opportunity to try and re-initialize the system, but I cannot get the light to flash indicating that the re-initialization is occurring. And I'm OCD enough that the light constantly being on annoys me to no end.
Do I need to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU? I'd prefer not to have to bring it into the dealer for a car that's long past warranty. Any other suggestions/recommendations?

Well I had a similar problem the damn light won't turn off.Turned out that I had a 3" nail in my tire. I had to go to the dealer to find that out the tire showed no sign of losing air or anything.I thought something was wrong with my sensors or some interference jammed the signal. Anyway on your problem when you turn on your car does the TPMS light blink for a minute straight? If it does you're going to have pay a visit to the dealer cause if theirs nothing wrong with your sensors on your tires then somehow the signal to the ecu is not being picked up.Then your ecu has to be reprogrammed to pick up the sensors, or it could be your sensors are damaged.
