Default TPMS Question

Ok heres the deal. I am probably buying some rims from a friend on Monday and i was wondering if the 07 tC and 08 tC TPMS sensors are the same.

If they are the same i can get the wheels off his car and have the shop give him my TPMS sensors to run in his stock wheels and then they only have to take tires off of 2 sets of rims.

If they arent the same it will be a big hassle because i will have to have 3 sets of tires taken off 3 sets of wheels to do the exchange.

They will have to take the rims off his car and remove the tires and get the TPMS sensors out of those. Then get his stock rims and take the tires off of those and install the TPMS Sensors. Then they will have to take off my stock rims and remove the tires and take off the TPMS sensors and install them on the rims i am buying from him. Then they have to mount all the tires back on the 3 sets of rims.

My guess is that would take way too long and cost a pretty penny so what is it i should do?

Sensors are the same, you just need to reprogram the sensor ID's to the car that you are putting them on.

Unfortunately the only people who can do this is Toyota, but if you already have them mounted and ready to go, they might do it for free because it doesn't take long.
