Default Tuner LUG NUTS???????? anyone

ok so i just got my enkei evo 5's in hyper black (hyper silver on the box) and was wondering what would be a good lug nut to get that would match the color of the rim, and also make it look better.. open or closed ended??? um.. MUTEKI forged nuts???

thanks!

go with a black extended lug nut, closed.

or you can go with a open end, but usually the stud is a rusty color, so it wont blend.

those are alrite, however they are on the lower end of lug nuts.

you can go with chrome gorilla lug nuts, they will match your lip so they will look cool.

plus gorilla's are really cheap, but they are good.

no difference, except for length.

short would be for something without a deep lug pocket

you would want extended so you dont have to necessarily scratch up your deep pocket wheels, for the evo 5, short will be best.

and i believe the lugs are 12x1.5, someone correct me if im wrong.

ok ya thats what the guy at evasive motorsports said... he also said that the RAYS ENG. lugs are wider?? and the socket might not clear them on the evo's??

he then said something about these lugs..

Mutekis, buddy clubs, r40's, r26 should all be fine.

any pros / cons? about these???

andbefore you said muteki's are on the lower end of lugs??

i use black closed muteki's that have been posted a few times in this thread already. i have roja formula 5's tho, but they should still seat the same. can't go wrong with black. i wouldn't get blue or red unless u have some ridic nice lugs like rays, work, or something else. nothing wrong with muteki's just nothing special either. they are lighter than the stock lugs and they will hold your wheel on. to me, i'm not in the car competition scene and so $200 lugnuts just don't make sense to me.

hey wondering what lugs you finally went with. I've had my evo5s for about a year now with the lug nuts that came with them and i want some high quality ones. I ordered 5zigen ones but they didn't fit and i had to send them back. Thanks

Make sure that the lugs are tuner style lugs. Talk to the place your ordering from and see if they are tuner style. If not they will not work.

I'm also looking for lug nuts.

currently, debating over whether to get the cheapo Gorilla nuts, or spend a little more and get Muteki nuts. No way I'm getting Rays, as thats just too much $$$ for me.

is there a considerable difference in Gorilla nuts and something like Muteki nuts? I'm looking for black nuts, and I see some are "black chrome plated" and others are "black chrome anodized" ... which one is better?

I wouldn't say the Gorilla's are cheap lug nuts. They are actually very good quality.
