Typical Treadwear on Stock tC Potenzas - How Many Miles Ugot
I currently have 40,800 miles on my original Potenzas. I expected closer to 35K miles. Is 40K typical?
What are other getting?

Most of the fine tread is gone on mine. There is about 1/4" of major tread left. I am getting them changed today hopefully. It appears UPS screwed up my delivery. I guess i got a lucky set.
I typically drive 75-95 on the highway and take turns at 45 mph whenever possible. I do avoid burnouts though, so that's probably what you mean by granny!
I'm replacing them with Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S. If UPS ever gets here... arg. I'm getting them on this evening.

Pzeros are on... initial 5 mile home drive impression is good. They feel "softer" than the Potenzas. Def less feedback through the steering wheel, but smoother and quieter ride. I'll wait a couple days (maybe) before i get into them. They dont seem as gripy in the dry, but maybe i need to warm them up a bit.
ur suppose to change the stockers every 30k ?? i think i have 32,000 miles on them right now. Its funny because i was thinking today too when do i change my tires ?? because i dont wanna be on the e-way for them to blow out on me.
Mine still had tread all around.... but the penny test might have failed. I didnt try it... whenever i go to Scion for service, all they want to do is my oil change and rotate them....

the wife has about 16,500 on her potenzas, they are in fine shape. Much of the mileage is highway ( 65mph only of course....hehe ), with a little playing when we/I can. No solid burnouts, but the occasional wheel spin when taking off. I'd guess that 30k is not out of the question, maybe even more.
Though at some point we plan on putting 18's on for summer, and these 17's back on for winter ( they weren't too bad this year ). So that will help prolong any tire changes needed.
