Default Vibrations with new wheels, help please.

I have an 06 tc and I just put on a set of 18x8 Konig Sideways. I got the mounted and balanced and took the car around the block. I get a lot of vibrations when I go past 70mph and it gets worst the faster I go. I know my needs an alignment but I don't know if that would fix that problem. I also read somewhere about maybe needing hub centric rings but I have no clue what those are or what they do. If someone can help me out, I would appreciate it, thanks.

Jason

you just answered you're own question, its either alignment or hub centric rings, ill start with the hub centric rings......instead of getting an alignment and realized it was the hub centric rings then you have take off the wheel again and put the rings and get it realigned.. go to discount tire or any tire shop they carry those centric rings.

I am using aftermarket lug nuts. I didn't think oem would fit or at lease that's what I was told. I will try tighten them down before I leave work and see if there is any improvement driving home tonight.

be careful not to over torque your lugs...you risk breaking a lug stud...

Can someone post some links for centric hub ring? I've done a search and found different ones with different sizes and I have no clue what size I am looking for.

On the over torque part, how much torque is correct and how much is too much? I will go downstairs to the shop and get a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts down.

Try this link...

http://www.justforwheels.com/index.j...=how&track=GHR

If you don't buy there, at least you'll know your size.

Holy ____e!! I didn't even notice the huge "Justforwheels.com" banner at the bottom of the page!!

Now it's K&N Filters. But it did say, "Got vibration troubles?" and had a link for said site.
