Default Weird Tire Situation Caused ABS Light. Need Input.

So I was driving on the freeway two days ago and my passenger side rear tire got a flat. A piece of tire shred still attached to the tire was spinning inside the fenderwell and managed to rip out the ABS wires from the grommet and socket. Of course, that being the case, the ABS and BRAKE light are now on constantly (along with a flashing tire pressure light).

Anyhow, I got all new tires and repaired the wires that were pulled out of their socket. We followed by resetting the ECU to let everything refresh, but I still have a constant ABS light, BRAKE light, and flashing Tire Pressure (!) light. We tried resetting the tire pressure via the button in the glove box, it does nothing. We checked to see if I had blown the ABS fuse and several other fuses, they were all fine.

We're stumped, any input would be appreciated.

check the wire itself, the tire shred may have done some damage to the wire or connector, I'd try unplugging it and inspecting it, if it is the wire, just go dumpster diving, you can find one for about $50

goodluck! hope you figure it out

The wire had no visible signs of damage, you can see where the tire shred was hitting inside the wheelwell. We also changed out the connector and made sure the wires had contact.

I think my next attempt is to see if the rear abs sensor itself got damaged.

how did you fix the wire.. usually you have to completly replace them. Abs wires are ones that can not be soldered to fix.

The wires that got ripped out of their socket, we soldered on new pins and re-plugged them into the socket that it got pulled out of.

Why couldn't you solder them to fix? As far as i know, they're just standard copper wires.

That's what i'm hoping for at the moment. I was reading up on the tC service repair manuals and it could be something worse.

weird cuz that's what i did when mine got ripped into 3 different pieces last week, it's just a hall effect sensor that produces voltage
