What are the smallest wheels you can fit on a tC for winter?
Hey, winter is coming up, and i was wondering if anyone knows if 15" is the smallest you can fit over the brakes on the tc.
I have heard of people using 15s, but was wondering if 14s would work as well, because i can get a good deal on 14 inch wheels and snow tires.
Please let me know, thanks.

I am looking currently as well.
Seems like a waste to drop money on steel wheels since they are so ugly but as stated the 17" snows are pricey.
Still trying to figure it out.
Might just run snows up front.
on my previous RWD cars I was fine all winter with just snows on the rears.
Taller and skinnier is better in the snow.

Has anyone had any luck finding a 14 or 15 inch wheels that fits the TC? I'm looking for a manufacturer and a part number. To me it looks like a stock steel offest wheel from a new Corolla will fit the TC, but my local dealer hasn't been much help. Thanks!

Regular 15" steel wheels will fit. Also look on some other tire/wheel websites for a 15" wheel with a 5x100 bolt pattern and an offset of anywhere between +35 and +50.

This reminds me that I need to wax and polish my 15" black steelies for winter. And get some chrome beauty rings. Just because they're worse than stock doesn't mean you don't have to take care of them. =D

i just got a deal the other day on some 215/60/15 hankook winter radials on 5x100 subaru steelies for $50. awesome deal. they might look really odd because they are pretty big (my mom's sienna runs the exact same size).
im gonna paint them safety cone orange so it looks ridiculous

I know the Subaru's have 56.1 mm bore diameter vs the 54.1 mm on the Toyota/Scion, don't know what VW's bore diameter is. In general you want to use hubcentric rings if you have a bore diameter bigger than your hub. This will help avoid vibration problem. You should also check the offset make sure it won't have any rubbing problem.
