he's prolly asking cuz the lug hole is kinda off-line with the valve stem, and there's no rays/volk inprint on the wheel.

they are real... depending on the size of wheel/year of production some volks will have the forged monoblock stamp on it or not or the rays stamp or clean... those above are more recent manf. ones.

the miss alignment is how u tell real vs fake. and 100% of the volks in 5lug bolt pattern and valve stem will not lign up.

if it has more then the jwl stamp on the ridge its fake.. if the holes for the 4/5 lug line up with anything its fake... to many stamps not say volk/rays/forged/monoblock = fake

the shine also from the anodized lip is a dead give away... usually the lip will have sheen to it and then the center flat finish. if its all flat be weary.. if its all shiny bronze.. its not a volk

such a shame that they ended up being 5x114 and my adapters are too wide so its a complete rub fest driving... guy is refunding me and i'm on a mission for something else... pics of the TE's on my car are soon to come as soon as my phone is charged... either way another set is in order... my disappointment of not having TE's is motivating me to get another and another set! F this the wheel game is gonna get interesting very soon!

looking at that picture of the TE's you can totally tell they are 5x114 because the holes are a slightly spread out, as to the 5x100 are closer to the bore... FML for not noticing or test fitting them before mounting tires...

not entirely true... the bore is not a give away with some wheels... that could easily be a smaller bore te37... fit for a vw or scoob so u cant go by that because volk does make different sized bores for all apps. when u order them its something they need to ask to make sure your not waiting 1-3 months on wheels that wont fit.

I got done work early day, weather was great, so I decided to take some pics with the new rims...
opted for 17x7 so I could use the OEM tires...they only have 500mi on them and with the Eibach springs I didnt wanna go with 18s...
