wheel rubbing: i read the sticky
in the "what fits the tC" sticky, it says that with the hotchkis set up, the following 2 wheel/tire setups apparently rub:
18x8, 35 offset, 225/40
and
18x8, 40 offset, 225/40
my question is... WHERE does it rub? the rear fenders? the wheel tubs? over large bumps or only turning?
also, the Tenzo DC6 comes in 18x8 with a few different offsets. which would be the better offset for the least amount of rubbing, 35 or 45?

you sure that 18x8 et 35 rubs? im running a 18x8 et 29 in the rear on tein ss-p that are sitting probably lower if not as low as stechs and im not rubbing. and in the front i have run same suspension with a 33 offset and the only thing that rubbed were the tabs for the fenderliner, i bent them back and didnt rub after that. oh and im running that same tire sie btw
no i dont have them... yet. it was just a question i posted since the "what fits" sticky states that the 18x8s with a 35 & 40 would rub minimally with a hotchkis drop...
im just curious as to where it rubs... the rear fender, the wheel tubs, or only on hard bumps and tight turns. i just dont want it rubbing on the rear fender
. i could care less about the other rubbing.
plus i also wanted to know if, with an 18x8, which would rub less: a 35 offset or a 45 offset, buti think i got my answer... the 45 (which moves the wheel towards the center of the car, right?). i could care less about the wheels sitting flush or not.
