Default Wheel rubbing rear bumper?

Hi again SL. I recently put on Sportmax 504's 18x8 with +32mm offset, and 20mm spacers. So I am running a 12mm offeset (from my calculations). I have been rollong my fender gradually, and am having the wheel shop adjust the camber to -2 degrees. My question is this though, if the negative camber does'nt stop the tire from rubbing against the bumper what can I do? Thanks for any advice.

So far my only thoughts are to live with it, or run a higher offset like 17mm.

Are you running a stretched tire? Post specs of your tires as well so others can try to help you.

Right now the tires are 215 45 18, but not stretched. These came with the wheels. When I where them out from the camber I will most likely run 205 45 18's and stretch them with a cheetah. Just right now I have a kid on the way so new tires are out. The only other options I can think of are to trim a bit of the rear bumper (inside), or have the machine shop mill down the spacers to 15mm which would put me at +22. I really like the agressive VIP look but this is the first time I've tried to dial it in. Tomorrow I should know if the camber is going to work. I left the car at the shop overnight, and they said I could pick it up by 10:00 am.

here are some reasonable options:
1. get a thinner spacer. perhaps 15mm
2. get a smaller tire. perhaps 215/40/18 (if they can be found)
3. get stiffer suspension that wont compress easily and allow rubbing

Just got her back from the shop today, good thing too. They said the rear toe was way out. But anyways, they found that the rear camber was allready -2 degrees! So they bumped it to -2.9 (bye bye tires). But that's the price I pay for the look. Probably tomorrow I will clean her up and take some pics. There have been,what I consider, quite a few changes since my last posting of pics. So I'll keep everyone up to date on this and hopefully it will be a good resource for others later on. Thanks again.

lol get 15mm spacers instead taht will give you +17 instead and it will still be flush and you will still have to run that camber, you need smaller tires dude. 215/40/18 or eve 215/35

Ok. so I'm back from the shop (actually yesterday) and I changed the bolt that holds the rear bumper in, in the wheel well area to a standard button head screw that sits almost flush with the bumper. With the 225 40 18's 20mm spacers and running 2.9 degrees of camber, there is almost no rubbing at all when I drive alone. The only rubbing so far is when I am driving over 45mph and I hit a medium sized bump (ie. Change in road height from construction). I'll have to update when I load up the family.

When I do need to change tires, I am going to switch out to 215/40/18's, as long as someone here in Vegas has a Cheetah to seat the beads. Ahhh, I love the Hipari tire look.

Oh yeah, all the crystals are Swarovski. I realize that not everyone is into this, and I am in no way VIP (not enough money for it), but I love the styling of VIP, so one thing at a time.

Oh, um, thanks, I geuss I did'nt expect compliments. The origional exhaust is Skunk 2 but I really wanted to get away from the fireball canister muffler so I just found one I liked, and could afford on eBay. Thank you.

i wasnt aware that bedazzling was popular in VIP cars o_0. i think its a bit too much, but if youre happy thats what matters right? but yeah, i think maybe a little lower in the back >_< even though you did all that to avoid rubbing haha.

Yes it deffinately needs to be lower. Here's the dillema though S-Techs are cheap, but I will only sit at one level. Coilovers (sleeve overs) are a bit more than I want to spend, but I could dial in my stance. Air suspension, breaking the bank for sure, but would love that route. I've had air on my old truck so I know how it works too. But still too much money. Which brings me back to the point of why I cannot be VIP, but instead take "inspiration" from the trend.
