Will it fit with 53mm offset
i have a set of wheels and I want to know if they will fit they are 5x114.3 bolt pattern and the wheels are 17"X8" with 53mm offsets. I can use either 25mm or 15mm wheel adapters. From what I have attempted to calculate the wheels will stock out 1.2" further than stockwith the 25mm adapters and 1.1" with the 15mm. i'm at work and i can't do any physical measurements on the car. Anyone know if this setup will work?
yea but adaters change teh bolt pattern so techniqually it will work. 53 offset -25 is +28 so you would rub like crazy all around, (i have 18x7.5 rear with 23 offset and it rubs)
so with the 15 mm adapters (assuming they work) would bring you to a 38 which would be a lot better in terms of rubbing. so you could do it.
would i? no. but its your car.

So the wheels will stick out too much and rub on the fenders right? I am going to do a test fit and just prop the rim up and see how it would look. Guess i could just sell them and get something else, really like the rims though. Why isn't anything ever easy? lol
cant use just spacers don, he has to "change" his bolt pattern to fit these wheels, and the only way he can do that is with adapters.
now if yuou meant 15mm adapters then i say thats the best bet.

i was gonna do the same thing but i heard the adapters only come in 25mm...i was trying to find some 15mm adapters but can't find one...i was in the same boat as you, saw some rims i really like but were 5x114...if u find some 15mm adapters let me know...
You guys are getting spacers and adapters confused. Spacers are not safe because they dont leave enough of the bolt for the lugnuts to grab on to. Adapters bolt on to the hub just like a wheel would and they have new bolts for the wheel. Adapters are safe but really expensive too i found some 15mm but they $275 a set.
