i never could understand why people would pay so much for a rim if its gonna be on a daily driver..

rims get abused alot, they get scratched, curbed, sometimes even bent.. its not really worth it man.

plus, who knows what can happen 8 months from now, you sure you wanna wait?

I paid a little more to get the wheels I wanted. I have had them on for a year and they look brand new. I guess its just preference. It is nice to have unique wheels though. I have yet to see a tC with my wheels. But BoB is right, it can be a risk!

Deeeeeyum,

I was JUST looking at those. How much do they go for
per set? I was thinking of purchasing those and powdercoating
the gold to a takata/tein green.

Like mine.. I was going to get this set as well, but decided on getting a set of the ADVAN RGII's for a good deal. Each of my rims cost anywhere between 5-700 a piece in 18's.. they are on my car at this time, also locked down with my KICS Racing R40 Lugs and Locks(Black) The lugs ran me 250+ just for those. Make sure you get a good set of locks if you go that route.

I could have gotten a set of the VS-XX for 2250 shipped.

Where are you getting yours from? I might be able to hook you up with someone that can get you that deal... PM me...

Oh, and do a search on here there was a whote tC that had a set on and lowered. I have the pic on my 'puter.. Looks sweet... it was a 36 offset i believe..

Goood Luck...

Just an observation, but why are the GTI guys offsetting their wheels and going bigger in the back and smaller in the front. Last time I checked, GTI's are FWD....kind of reminds me of the honda and acura's that put their steelies on the front and aftermarket rims on the back, absolutely no benefit at all LOL

I love those wheels. I have been looking at them for a while but am still deciding on if I can justify the $$$ and having to wait... I will probably change my mind by the time I am ready to buy...
