Eujin, I had a friend who has a brand spanking new Mercedes S-Class
who just bought your rims and threw them on a few weeks ago.
I thought to myself how they would look on a tC,
& then I see this.
Are you slammed?
Cause it's sexy as hell
I was considering in buying a set,
but then I saw yours and I feel like I'm going to be copying you
or flamed by other people

The Volks were my first set of wheels. I sold them and got the SSRs (my current wheels). I miss having super lightweight wheels. Those LE28Ns were 16 or 18 pounds (without tire) each. The SSRs are significantly heavier than the Volks, but barely heavier than the stock wheels. Since the SSRs are 3 piece and chrome, they add more weight than a 1 piece forged monoblock wheel. When I replaced the Volks with the stock wheels, I felt a difference in acceleration. It got worse when I put the SSRs on LOL. They’re definitely for show, not go. I’ve given up on power mods since I have such heavy wheels (all I got is a greddy SP2 axle-back and a K&N filter in the stock airbox).
Lately I’ve been thinking about getting some lightweight wheels again (another set of 1 piece Volks, perhaps some TE37s), or another 3 piece set just for a different look. I’ve also been considering some Work VS-XX, (another heavy 3 piece wheel). Here are some 5x100 examples on VW’s.
10.5” wide in the rear.

For 18" used with tires, they go for about $2400-2800 a set. New theyre around $4000 with tires and a 7 month wait from Japan.
