Default Would this work? 5x100 to 5x114.3

Just wondering if this would work? Or if there is other options that could make it possible to switch the bolt pattern?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5x100...#ht_3772wt_956

Sorry if this has been asked before!

you can.. but depending on what size adapters and rims you get.. sometimes the studs will be too long and hang out from the spacers. if that happens depending on the rim the studs might hit the rim.. then making you have to cut the studs or get shorter studs to make the rim fit.

25mm spacers/adapters will clear the wheel from the OEM wheel studs. Running 15mm or 20mm spacers/adapters will require trimming the OEM studs for the wheel to sit flush on the adapter. This has been discussed, you just haven't searched enough. Try in the aggressive wheel thread for some posts and if I recall there was even a thread started(it's about spacers but same concept applies, only difference is going to another bolt pattern).

adapters will work, 5x100 to 5x114 will allow you to fit 5x114 wheels...and like mentioned above, if you order 15mm or below, you WILL need to either cut your OEM studs or shorten them by replacing them with shorter ones...i think if you go 20mm, youll be fine. the one on your ebay link is a 1"...so about 25mm?

Alright so to avoid cutting anything you recommend going with 20mm spacers + those adapters correct? haha sorry i'm really trying to get new rims and the ones I like are 5x114.3 so yeah.

If you guys are wondering what rims they are they are the xxr 521. I've seen them on subi forums with 5x100 but they don't say how or where they got them from.

No no no no no. All you need to run is that adapter you linked up top, that'll for sure clear the OEM studs and let you run 5x114.3 wheels. I dont think a 20mm will clear though, if you really want to be sure just take the wheel off and just measure the length of the wheel stud.

Ooooooo I get it now haha I was a little confused on what the cutting was for and all that but I get it now.

So do you guys think that is a good idea to do that? (well to use that)

For say I want 18x10 et?? all around with those adapters the wheels will already be offset by 20mm correct?

Let's say if the offset of the wheel is +20 and you run the 1"(~25mm) adapter you posted, it'll push the wheel out to -5 offset.

like everyone said just get 25mm to clear the your oem studs or cut/buy shorter studs.
