2014 Scion tC Headlight Alignment Help?
I recently purchased my 2014 Scion tC and have been doing mostly light modifications to the vehicle. I put an HID kit inside my car but seem to have trouble with aligning them properly. Is there a up/down, left/right alignment screw? Could the bulbs not fitting properly cause the beams to be spotty and slanted? Can any one post photographs of where to find both sets of alignment screws (bolts) if there are two bolts? Also the actual size of the bolt is 5/16mm someone previously mentioned it was a 10mm but it was to large someone else told me. Please post photos and tips so I can properly align them and optimize safety. Thank you!
Thank you very much do you or anyone else have a guide for the measurements for my lights? How far each light is from the middle the vertical measurements? I need help as much help as possible my alignment isn't perfect at all.
Starting with this points, follow the attached. (again, apologize for the .pdf quality...)
Place the vehicle in a location that is dark enough to clearly observe the cutoff line. The cutoff line is a distinct line, below which light from the headlights can be observed and above which it cannot.
Place the vehicle at a 90° angle to the wall.
Cover the headlight or disconnect the connector of the headlight on the opposite side to prevent light from the headlight that is not being inspected from affecting the headlight aiming inspection.
NOTICE:
Do not keep the headlight covered for more than 3 minutes. The headlight lens is made of synthetic resin, which may melt or be damaged due to excessive heat.
