Duraflex and 3D Carbon two separate companies. Duraflex is manufactured by Extreme Dimensions and is a fiberglass based product. 3D Carbon is it's own company and their products are mostly urethane and abs plastic.
We sell both brands and list their full catalog on our site.
When it comes to installation/paint fiberglass products require additional fitting, and prep work before the parts are ready to be painted. All fiberglass parts follow a practice that requires you dry fit all parts first, mark and drill mounting holes, clean up the body gaps and mold seams on the parts and then the entire surface has to be completely sanded and any pin holes, scratches and other blemishes filled with glazing filler and block sanded smooth.
Urethane products are similar to factory oem parts as they are produced in an injection mold and require little finishing other than cleaning, priming and sanding.
It is almost always cheaper to spend more on a urethane kit than to buy a cheaper fiberglass version of the same style body kit as the installation costs are less with the urethane due to needing less labor.
It's not always a bad thing to purchase a fiberglass based kit though as the selection is much much larger and you can customize and repair fiberglass where that is much harder to do with urethane and abs plastic parts.
I've been working in the aerodynamics industry since the late 90's and would be more than happy to answer any questions about aero installation.
Cheers!
