Default Another Caliper Painting Project

This is what I spent today on. Used G2 Caliper paint kit. Only disappointment was that when I was doing my reasearch the G2 kit showed coming with a brush, came with a foam brush, wasnt too bad just had to pop out the wifes nail polish brush to use for the detail areas since I did not remove the calipers.

Annd... no thank you for doing this before I was able to.
Gah! I have my Gold G2 paint sitting in my closet.
Unfortunately it's been sitting for a while... and now, this weekend, when I have time to paint them... It's friggin freezing outside!

really? Mine has a foam brush in it as well. Hmm. Although, I an sure it will work quite the same if not better... Foam brushes usually hold more paint and good for smaller broad areas. Bristle brushes are good for walls/bigger areas and spreading.

ok ive never painted calipers before however i have seen the caliper spray paint at like autozone and advance im guessing what you have here is just a like solid paint that you brush on?? now my question is did you remove the callipers in order to do this or just the rims?? how long does it take to do this on average?? where can i get this from?? and has anyone used the spray paint style before and which holds up better??

the best place to get G2 Caliper paint is on ebay...about $35 (retail is like 40-50? i forgot)

its a paint + chemical mixture that helps it stay on the caliper and is heat resistant...painted on with a brush provided

(it also comes with brake cleaner and a decal if your wondering)

no need to remove the caliper...just tape things off. you will have to remove all 4 wheels though...the paint is a 1-time application kind of thing.

application should take about 4-6 hours

....i have my own application + some reviews on my thread. also if you want to see the box click the link in my sig...i'm selling a white one

...oh and for spay ons...its cheaper but smaller color selection and it may end up chipping and needs to be redone in the future
