A company recently contacted me to test fit their new visor products for the tC2. Here is their prototype Rear Window Visor. It is made out of acrylic and applied easily with 3M tape. (I think there is also some kind of primer they will use in addition to the 3M tape on the final product)

i dont like how it puckers on the sides and how it curves up a little, it makes the tC look fat

how does it look from the inside, is there a noticeable difference?

To be honest, I was real iffy on the idea...I never really like rear visors or the look of them on cars.

But seeing it in person, on my car...it grew on my instantly and I REALLY like it. To me it looks a lot better in person than in the pictures.

If anyone wants to see it in real life, I will be at Encore presented by ScionEvolution on June 4th. (check the regional - pacific south section of scionlife for info on the meet)

I like it a LOT ... I was wondering is only for looks or does it serve purpose? How do you think it would look on a TC without a spoiler?

devanb3,

there are different ways...just have to be lucky and find the right opportunity

for me, my gf's brother drives a Smart Car and the owner randomly spotted him, introduced him/his company and basically asked, "Can I use ur car as a test car? for fitting and photos?"

So he agreed and a few days letter went to the warehouse and got it done. During that time the guy said he needs all sorts of cars for fitting or even just photos. My gf's brother said, I know something with the new tC...the guy said he needed it and so I was setup with an appointment

that is basically just by chance

....other than that.

some post on this forum asking for testers so there is that way....check the regional section of scionlife if there is any one asking in your area

also one some websites, they ask for "sponsors" usually what you would do is contact them, send them pictures...if they approve then u buy their product, you get it, install it and then test and/or take photos. send back the info/photos (keep the product) and then they will refund you your money (except maybe not the shipping, if there was any)

Damn I *almost* like it. It just needs to sit more flush, the end of the visor just ends so abruptly there, if it could taper a bit more that may help. Meh...

If you get time, pop one more photo, from the side with your sunroof popped and another with it all the way open. Just wondering what that looks like.
