Blacked Out Tails Lights
I got the Blue Batmobile overlays about a week ago and tried to put them on. Third brake light and side mirror turn signals turned out nice, but the tail lights themselves didn't turn out. After over 2 hours of fighting with it, I had messed up the overlay enough and was frustrated enough I just stopped. Problem is the taillight isn't completely smooth and then add in the 90 degree angles and it's rough.
That said, I got the 3/10 color, which I really like. I think it darkens things just enough to match the car great. It takes the edge off the white and red you normally have for those colors.
Bottom line, the overlays are cool, but unless you're good at installing vinyl, I'd recommend having it professionally installed.

So I got my windows tinted today on my RS7 @ my friends shop. I wanted the tails tinted with the reverse section untouched. The guy came out explained how they needed to accomplish this....by making a seam with the tail goes into the truck. The guy says I'll do one and you see if you like it. 45min later and 3 attempts the tint kept peeling off the top part of the tail. He told me it's not possible without being "frankensteined" and looking bad.
So what are my options here? I don't want to paint..So vinyl? Anyone have suggestions? I think they would look awesome on this yellow/black TC2.

I doubt he gets many "dude your right reverse light is blown!" comments. Haha
It totally looks awesome covered up that way to tell everyone that yup you got ONE reverse light and it's on the LEFT side.
