I would tell you to go with the tint. But I tell you my friend works with a paint protection film that is made specially for the headlights so it will not cause that problem.

There's an eBay company that sells tint kit for our cars.
Paint is cheap looking and gives the scion a vato zone appeal.
You need patience with vinyls which 99% of ppl do not posses.

The tail light tint needs to be done in two pieces. One solid piece for the main face of tail light and a smaller piece for the upper ridge of tail light.
Painting is cheap, permanent and uneven, (I don't care how baller ur paint skills are).
How many Benz BMW's u see with half ___ painted tail lights.

Here's the link to product. I have my whole car done with their products without one issue,

I disagree. Yes, MOST paint looks like complete garbage on taillights, but if you do it right, it can look pretty dang good. I used automotive clear coat with a black base mixed in a gun and it turned out very well

That loos like vinyl from the way it reflects.
You make a good point but most ppl don't have the tools to properly do it. Let alone the knowledge or doing it.

most just remove the tails to paint them instead of taping off but yes if there is a part on the light you dont want black then tape it off like i did the reverse turn portion
