Default Can anyone recommend a product to take off tree sap?

The tree is now gone but I have some tree sap still stuck and no scrubbing was getting that off. Any help would be appreciated.

I have used hand sanitizer with great luck, and just washed off the residue so it didn't dry out the paint. There is also tree sap removers that you can buy

Depends on how long it's been etching into your paint for, but clay works, "goo-gone", sometimes just taking it to a detail shop (a good "honest" shop) is your best bet. Even though its a small spot(s), not knowing what your doing could leave the car looking worse than before. Check out Griot's Garage online too. Best personal detailing supplies available. Imo

Thanks. I ordered a Meguiars clay kit and I'm gonna give that a try for now.

What do we think of Meguiars interior and wheel cleaners? I know a lot are anti Armorall. I don't want to use a product that will wear down my interior or mess with the finish on my rims.

depends on which interior cleaner you get. i hd the normal and didnt like as i'm a fan of having the shine so i had a preference of their shine interior, and their wheel cleaner is good.

PDP non acidic wheel cleaner is amazing, and hot water and murphy's oil soap is the best for cleaning interior. Also any griots garage product will work extremely well

With a lot of effort I got most of it off but it appears that it did damage my paint.

rainex, if it's just a small spot- I would be hesitant to use it on large areas, or several spots

Chemical Guys!! Clay bar, M-seal/JetSeal 109, and a wax will get all the tree sap and anything else off the paint and will make the car look better than when you first bought it. After a year of owning my car, I did this method and it looks better than when I bought it new. As a note: clay bar and apply the paint sealant to all the windows and glass on roof.
