They probably haven't had time to upload new product photos to their webmaster...

Someone needs to get a running weight total for the OEM hood, roof glass (and motors), hatch, and doors... see what weight you'd save going with all these CF parts.

OMG. The doors probably weigh so much.

Stock hood with no washer items or head shield weights 25.1 pounds.

I think the OEM CF hoods weighs 8 pounds. Not sure tho.

i'm confused, are you thinking about replacing the glass roof and glass hatch with carbon fiber? i mean 3 lbs versus 100 lbs is a huge difference.

I would love to replace the hood/roof/hatch with carbon but I have other priorities first lol. The carbon fiber roof. Does eliminate the top glass. All of it! And thats where the big difference is. Because 90% of that 100lbs is strictly glass. The rear hatch your going to need to put your rear glass on that. If not. It would make it very easy for robbers to jack stuff. Trice has his hatch done. Nobody has roof though. I guess dont want to loose that sun/moon roof just yet.

I was looking at the roof option when/if the sunroof breaks. Someone on here (not enough coffee for search) had their rear moonroof break and it was $2100 or so to replace the whole thing, it's one unit. The CF would be a cheaper option if you wanted to just have a solid roof with weight savings.

then just remove the glass and just use that slider cover thing
that should save weight and $ haha

...on a serious note. if u replace the roof with a non-sunroof top...what happens to those two holes on the inside with the slider sunroof cover?

That would save money. Weight might be reduced to 1lb. But my guess is. If you did get the carbon top then you might have to get a new headliner too if you don't like those holes.

Are you kidding? Those headliner holes are going to be perfect... planning to contract out to Scion202 and have him create some LEDhellishnightmareseizure machine to put in there.
