Default Chrome 7440 Bulbs, Hoen, Osram, options?

Ok so... I know many of you have replaced your turn signals with LEDs, as much as I enjoy that look, not going to do it on my ride.

I also have never been a fan of seeing those ugly amber bulbs during the day, just sitting there. (parking lights are going to be dealt with eventually)

My '06 Honda Pilot had OEM chromed turn signal bulbs, and I have seen the ones from Hoen, but I cannot for the life of me find the 992 (7440A) bulbs in the sweet sweet chrome look.

I attempted (against my better judgement) to try "Xenonmods" since they had the bulbs on their site, 3 weeks later and I'm just now getting my $$ back from Paypal. Oh well.

So, asking you folks to keep an eye out, or if anyone has any genius ideas on how to go about converting bulbs over, anything along those lines...

Help an old fart get rid of the uglies on his ride:

*see! blech!!*

check out the osram diadem lights. I had those on my porsche, and they were the clearish/chrome look and illuminated orange. I had to order them from the euro side. Osram is sylvania I think.

Thanks torqueTc I started searching for those osram's (damn hard to find!) and found a comparable product as well:
phillips silver vision WY21W - but I cannot seem to find these to buy much of anywhere!

Yeah I ordered mine for my porsche from a euro country. They are top notch bulbs, but they are expensive. I hope you can find what you were looking for scratch

Scratch, that looks much better!

Couple questions:

Scratch, how do they compare to the brightness of the OEM bulbs?

Scion202, how did you deal with the hyper blink issue with your LED signals?

Are the LEDs still installed in your car or did you take them out?

Guys, I went with the 7440's from "Xenonmods" but to be honest I don't know if I would order from there again. No response on shipping and had to open a Paypal dispute to get the bulbs shipped out. ....and it looks like their main page is offline, so.

You can probably go with the ebay ones, or autolumination they seem to be about the same quality?

They are slightly dimmer than the OEM bulbs, during daylight I can tell, but at night they look as bright as any other car. (and with our side mirror blinkers, I'm not worried) I plan to leave the fronts installed for a few weeks, then get rear ones as well if I have no issues with real world use.

The bulbs from Osram Diadem appear to be 27w instead of 21w, so they will be as bright, if not brighter than stock. However I cannot find a place to buy them.

Yup LED Blinkers Front I have! For the rear it seems almost easier to run a wire from the front ones haha

^^
You ever consider just replacing the OEM flasher with an electronic one that is compatible with LEDs? I have been wanting to do this for the longest time, but cannot locate the darn thing...

There are relays that can be bought and swapped to get rid of the hyperflash of using LEDs for the turn signals. I had a link saved but can't seem to find it at the moment.
