Do I have to take te radio out just to install the relay? Could I not just pull the passenger side of the center console and get to it from there?

I got it. I just pulled the radio out enough to plug the relay in and it worked.
Thanks.

Ok, read the whole thread and understand it fine. BUT, if I don't have the fogs installed or hooked up yet would it be easier hooking them up like a set of off road lights with their own wireing and not touching the factory harnesses? Thanks ahead of time, you guys are great!

Default total control over the fog lights?

Any questions, you should probably ask him..

Alright, here's my quick diy/pictures.

What you need.
- 10mm socket
- 18-20 gauge wire (do not use the size i have in the pictures, my wire was extremely difficult to tap in to. use a high gauge number, mine was 12 and i had to keep stripping it)
- Wire cutter and stripper
- wire connectors/tape (up to you how you're going to connect the wires)

just right click save the images if you'd like..

So i have followed this DIY step by step without grounding out the white w/ black tracer wire @ fog light switch. and i can turn on the fog lights without the low beams on but now they wont go on with the low beams like they would before the mod (stock). is there any idea on what i could have done wrong? email me justin.jamora@gmail.com
i jumped the red wire from the fog light relay over to the light green wire w/ grey @ the third connecter. did not connect either red or green wire from the harness side into the wire i used to jump the two. could that be the problem? or is that the way the mod is meant to be? please get back to me someone, this is frustrating .

One question I had is when you cut the red wire behind the relay - I see that you spliced your wire into the red one coming out from the relay, do you leave the other side of the red wire un-terminated?

If you look at your picture, the bottom arrow points to the the red wire after it was cut, do you leave that alone and or do nothing with it? Then just continue the red wire from the relay (top arrow) over to the green wire you tapped in to the left of the steering wheel?

Thank you

Default DIY 2012 TC Fog Lights

THIS ATTACHEMENT IS OEM TOYOTA INSTALL MANUAL FOR THESE LIGHTS< Step by Step, very easy. Just finished my install, the only thing that I did differently, is behind the radio, there is the breaker holder, there is no need to pull power from there, if your kit came with the breaker, it goes on position 2 from top to bottom, with that there is no need to splice any cables, just open the installation manual that was uploaded, is very detailed. Good luck with your installs, next on my list TRD exhaust and intake.
