Easy DRL installation to pass inspection???
Hey TC community!
I recently imported my TC2 to Canada and I am due for an inspection. I will require DRL to pass the inspection but I don't want to keep DRL on my TC. Is there a way to easily install DRL and then remove it after inspection???
Thank you!

Anyone has different ideas?
I really don't want to pay too much for something I plan on removing, any garage could install DRL for me? From what I've read it is not easy to switch on DRL on Toyotas..., I'd have to buy some equipment and have it installed..., I just don't want to mess too much with the wiring...

I'm thinking of getting that cause any mechanic will charge me 200$ for something I don't want.
Is it pretty simple to install?

Ah I see. I'm in Detroit, if you were around Windsor I was gonna say drive over and I'll help you out.
The best/cleanest way to do this imo, is to use a set of relays, resistors and fuse taps to run the high beams at a partial voltage, whenever the car is on but switch off when low beans are turned on (normal full voltage high beam operation would not be affected). On some cars this is actually how things work from the factory.
Not familiar at all with that unit, might be really easy. My concern is that the light pattern/brightness requirements for DRLs is technically different than what low beams provide.... Not sure how strictly Canada inspects but if that module simply turns the low beans on at all times (something that can actually be wired easily without using some random module) you still might to pass

Thanks for the offer, but it is kinda far from here!
I'll go do my inspection without doing anything probably tomorrow and hopefully the'll let me pass. If not, I'll pass by a mechanic and ask him for the best way to do it for my situation.
Thank you for the support!
